Thank you for using Spin the Wheel (the "App" and "Website"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App or the Website. By using the App or the Website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We do not collect or sell any personal information from you.
The App and Website do not:
The App stores your content directly on your device or browser. This includes your spin wheels, entries and their images, spin history, preferences (such as themes, sound settings, and pointer settings), and a menu lock PIN. All of this data remains on your device or browser and is never transmitted anywhere.
If you enable the optional menu lock, your 4-digit PIN is stored as a one-way hash (salted SHA-256). We cannot recover your PIN; if you forget it, you will need to reset it.
You can delete your data at any time by clearing the Website's site data or the App's data, or by uninstalling the App.
The App may ask for access to your device's photo library only when you choose to pick a background image for the wheel or the App screen. The App may also let you select an audio file to use as background music. These selections are only used as the image or sound you requested, are stored locally, and are never uploaded or shared. Access is optional; if you decline, the App continues to work with its built-in options.
The App and Website are free and supported by advertising.
On mobile (Android and iOS), ads are served by Google AdMob. AdMob (a service of Google LLC) may use advertising identifiers and other data about your device to measure ad performance and to provide relevant ads, and it may combine this with information collected across other apps and websites that are part of the Google advertising network.
On the Website, ads are served by Google AdSense, a service of Google LLC. When you visit the Website, AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and it may use information about your visits to this and other websites to provide relevant advertising.
Personalized ads are turned off by us; however, you can learn how Google uses information from sites and apps that use Google services by visiting Google's Privacy & Terms page. To control or opt out of interest-based ads from Google, visit Google Ads Settings. You can also limit ad tracking in your device's settings (for example, "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android) or reset your advertising identifier at any time.
Note: the core features of the App do not require an internet connection. Data is only sent to Google's ad network when an advertisement is loaded or displayed.
The Website uses Google Analytics (a service of Google LLC) to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized information such as pages visited, time spent, and approximate region. This helps us improve the Website. Google's use of this data is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
The App offers an optional feature to export your spin history to a PDF file. This happens on your instruction using your device's system share sheet, so the data goes wherever you choose to share it. We are not involved in or responsible for where you send that file.
The third-party services used by the App and Website are Google AdMob, Google AdSense, and Google Analytics for the purposes described above. Their collection and use of information is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share any of your information with any other third parties.
The App is suitable for all ages. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and advertising shown to children is configured to be non-personalized. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App or the Website, please contact us so we can delete it.
The content you create is stored locally on your device or browser, where it is protected by your device's operating system. We recommend using the security features provided by your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and the effective date above will be updated. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
